Dream jobs
Posted in Interludes, Outside Activities, Work on 04/18/2008 06:11 pm by Peggy HuThis morning I was thinking about things I like to do in my spare time and wondering if any of my hobbies could be turned into a career. One of the things I like to do is travel. I also like to buy jewelry and knick-knacks that remind me of places I’ve been. Perhaps I could open up a curio shop, or at least be a buyer for an established one?
I like to write and eat good food. I wouldn’t say I am a difficult customer at restaurants, but I am observant and particular about the service I receive. Perhaps I could become a food critic?
I have been told I have a real skill at buying the right gifts for people. I do take pride in that ability, and I do enjoy shopping. Perhaps I could become a professional shopper for busy executives?
Those of you who know me — what do you think would be a good alternate career for me?

Jewelry buyer might be good. How about jewelry designer? Do you have any interest in making jewelry yourself?

I’ve never actually tried making jewelry. I have been thinking of getting some beading supplies, though.

I like beading! I bought a bunch of beads a while ago and never did anything with them. We should have a beading party! I’m sure Alexis would enjoy it, too, if she’s not too busy.
